The are 1st because of there percentile gain. Its much easier to have it all in 1 stock and have it sky rocket when your portfolio is only worth 2 mililon for example. If they own max shares of a big weekend winner and there port is only worth 2 million its a greater percentage gain then someone with a 200mill portfolio.
EX. 1million profit / 2 million value (starting portfolio) = 50% gain
EX2. 1million profit / 200 million value (portfolio still has the same max 50,000 shares max) = 0.5% gain.
So they get ranked higher in percentile gain. And yes they probabbly bet it all on one thing that is going to see big short term gains then dumb it move on to the next. It never hurts to take a sure thing
