I don't know how much you have in your portfolio because it does matter in terms of what you can do here, but...

...At this point, for me, making 14k on a warrant is just not worth my time.

Personally, I'm trying to make a million dollars a day or a minimun of 1% of the daily value of my portfolio. (currently that means bringing in a min of 490k a day.) And more days than not I'm actually able to do this. For example:

• So far today I'm up just over a million.
• Yesterday I added over 1.25 million to my portfolio.
• Since last Wednesday I've gone from 45 mil to over 49 million.
• And in the last two or three months, I've more than doubled my portfolio from 22 milion to over 49 million. (I'll know for sure when they finally bring back the damn 30-60-90 day charts.) Feel free to check my most recent numbers in a public league I joined called "Ihavenofriendsinreal life so please be my league friend here"

Now I'll be the first to admit that my numbers are NOTHING compared to what some folks are doing here. But surely you can see how for ME, waiting around almost two weeks to make 14k is laughable. (no disrespect.)

The bottomline is, after screwing around here for almost three years, in the last few months I've finally figured out some of what people are doing to make their portfolios go bananas:
1) you have to work your portfolio CONSTANTLY!
2) you have to be aggressive (and there WILL be huge losses)
3) you need to invest in things that give you the biggest bang for your buck. And that damn sure doesn't include tying up valuable trading dollars in some warrant for weeks at a time just to make a paltry 14k! (again, no disrespect.)

Now the funny thing is -- I'm actually a one trick pony! I don't really do anything here but invest in movie stocks. The funds are extremely slow money and I don't even know how star bonds work! So I imagine I'm missing out on some serious star bond money. (will someone please explain those things to me? They seem really confusing.) Seriously though, there are TONS of things I should be doing that would make me A LOT of fake dollars. But I'm not doing those things now because I don't fully understand how they work. But I'm working on that so look out!

Anywho, like I said, there are several things I need to learn how to do at HSX before I feel like I know what the hell I'm doing. And while I have A LOT to learn, one thing I know for sure is that the vast majority of those warrants, calls and puts provide way more distraction than profit. The money you're waiting weeks to make in those things -- I can make in a few minutes a day.

Anyway, you play on player -- play on!

And good luck to you.

Easy money, yes. A lot of money -- meh. Depends on which ones you own and when you bought. By the way... HuskyMiller Sep 07, 15:46

Ok...but look at this SportsFund Sep 07, 16:20

So how long did it take to make that 14 thousand measly dollars? {nm} HuskyMiller Sep 07, 17:16

Well, I bought it August 26 and sat on it. Tomorrow, I get the payoff. You have to look at the %. Dollars aren't always the prime motivator SportsFund Sep 07, 17:31

the way i look at it, though my port is still small, there may be other investments that earn more $ blandestk Sep 07, 19:57

What the hell is wrong with this message board? It keeps deleting my message. HuskyMiller Sep 07, 21:06

Actually, you can know how much I have in my portfolio...since it is a Fund. The Sports Fund is available for trader viewing. You can go to SportsFund Sep 07, 21:20

Apparently you know what the hell you're doing if you rang up a billion in two years, but.... HuskyMiller Sep 07, 21:40

LOL...okokok...Caddyshack is up there...but it is GOLF...note the absence of some great baseball flicks, too...sort of my resistance to SportsFund Sep 07, 21:49

hey SPORT, come on, there are other funds that are must-have. Have you checked my graph lately? {nm} SEETVFund Sep 07, 21:55

Alrighty then! Nice job! Sport should be able to grab you cause you are racing up! ;-) {nm} SportsFund Sep 07, 22:02

Warrants are all about long term investment. Get in early and you'll come out with huge profits. SocioEvo Sep 08, 03:51

I disagree. The calls and puts are cheap investments. If you don't like 'risk' buy all of them long when they IPO and dump once a few days grammar Sep 07, 18:27

I'd like to thank Blockbuster Warrants for resurrecting my port value. It'll be nice to have that extra COH {nm} john Sep 08, 13:19
