Well, I think all the 3D re-releases have made money so far, also, ID4 is the number 37 movie of all time both in actual BO and Adjusted for
inflation and it's still mostly liked, so a conversion with a July 4 release seems like a no brainer to be able to make a bit of money. Also, it's a good test of the waters to see if there's still enough interest in ID4 to get the on again off again sequels off the ground.
