I think there's some confusion here. Theres only one film, which will potentially be split into two halves (Red Cliff or Mesrine)
or edited down for some territories and distribution AND they will have a cut that can play on more conservative platforms like TV. Its still one film.
There's only one script, one budget, one shooting schedule, one contract, etc. They are just being flexible with the distribution.
