Cheer up! Bright side: You and your children compete economically with those ticketbuyers.
If nobody bought Taco Bell beef or Chicken McNuggets, could you imagine what steak would cost? If everybody had an advanced degree, what would one be worth? And what would less-demanding labor cost?
No one compels anyone to buy tickets for Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus, low-grade horror movies, 'rasslin' shows, Transformers, or Twilight. No one is forced to watch the Kardashians or Honey Boo Boo or Dance Mom or Bristol Palin. So far as I am aware, every McNugget, Wendy's Triple Baconator, cigarette, and 64-ounced watered-down fountain soda is consumed voluntarily. These pains are self-inflicted (although the purveyors of substandard products have nothing about which to feel proud or morally adequate).
Children deserve better. Adults deserve an opportunity to be educated. Beyond that, it's a free country, more or less.
