Now think about Da Ali G and his iconic punking of Sam Donaldson. Maybe replace Sam with Peter Bart or Mike Fleming or Anita Busch or someone who would know movies and Nikki. And assume they don't get the gag, so their reaction is they don't know exactly what to make of it. At some point they'll get it and come out like Donaldson did with "You don't know what you're talking about!". But initially they don't want to be too hard on this English-ain't-his-first-language guy, and they get the "Why all the fuss about Nikki?" core of the three questions there. Which is right up the Nikki Finke news today, so squarely on topic.
I didn't watch Da Ali G but a lot of people have seen that clip with Donaldson. Just adapt it, and I'm sorry but that's some good shtick up there. In case you didn't notice, it's kinda crystal clear that some in the thread are also playing along and must know the same thing, that it's a gag.
