agreed but if your given a global audience & no creative compromises, it's still a viable platform... SVOD I mean (Netflix, Hbo, Etc)
It's a realistic choice & you know they (netflix or other SVOD) may come back to you with more proposals like was the case with the Duplass Brothers and Netflix having envy with HBO and their involement with the Duplass Bros. (which I'm growing to enjoy more and more and respect)....
Hey Movie I have a question for you: Now with a traditional distributor acquiring your film, you probably have a better backend deal with some sort of % royalty structure paid out to the above the line creators of the film...With SVOD it's probably a flat fee acquistion (Although, I know Netflix will offer DVD's/Cloud or digital purchase of their owned/produced titles, which I'm sure creators get some sort of backend deal with those sales)... If your given a viable platform to showcase your work and reach a global audience (57 million subscribers across 50 countires!) without studio (svod) interference, that's not that bad of a deal...You don't think?
