I agree, that comparison was pretty silly. If he/she compared to The Incredible Hulk it'd be better, but still not great.

TIH releasing in 2008 when Iron Man 2 was the only one that was a sure thing to come next, and yet Cap and Thor both still continued development and went into production before the MCU as a whole was successful.

But also theh MCU didn't have the massive successful platform to stand on that Star Wars has had going all the way back to A New Hope's success.  So yeah, still far from a good comparison.

a less a**-holish view on Lucasfilm in the aftermath of 'Solo' and the demise of the 'Star Wars Story' brand. CSBD Jun 21, 08:20

thx...where's this from? {nm} tealfan Jun 21, 08:44

a gossip-entertainment-fashion-style blog I enjoy called laineygossip. {nm} CSBD Jun 21, 08:56

If that is the case... platonm Jun 21, 08:56

Speculation, but more likely the existing stock would be repurposed into "next Star Wars non-trilogy movie". This has happened before when RogerMore Jun 21, 09:11

I just don’t want to loose 20 mil that’s all {nm} platonm Jun 21, 09:15

You could be makiong money on the stock right now. {nm} Antibody Jun 21, 09:45

I am. I shorted it, but will I loose the short if stock delists? {nm} platonm Jun 21, 10:01

You will make money if it delists at a lower price. {nm} Antibody Jun 21, 10:07

Gotta say something since you've written it twice..."Lose". {nm} Wilderness_Journey Jun 21, 10:11

Thanks. 3 times, just looked at my first post and it’s there too😱 {nm} platonm Jun 21, 11:57

The algorithm was very friendly to sellers yesterday. 12mm shares traded between 1:15pm and 3:15pm in a 15 cent range {nm} tomcat90 Jun 21, 10:54

Are those announced ahead of time? {nm} Wilderness_Journey Jun 21, 09:45

There's a huge difference between them two, and Iron Man 2 to Solo is extremely bad comparison. {nm} Randy Jun 21, 09:05

Exactly, Feige built the MCU to be a success from nothing, Kennedy was given an already successful Universe Randy Jun 21, 11:00

the same SW fanboys wanted to string George Lucas up by his balls for "raping their childhood" with the prequels. she didn't inherit as much slipping jimmy Jun 21, 11:27

Ya true haters will always hate, but out of Lucas's 6 movies not one was ever a box office bombs. Randy Jun 21, 12:47

meh. there is at least one awesome Obi Wan movie waiting to be made. doesn't feel like a strong move to me slipping jimmy Jun 21, 09:20

(like, if you think SW fans aren't buying into old characters in standalones, that doesn't mean they'll definitely buy into new characters) slipping jimmy Jun 21, 10:35

By "less assholish" you mean still ****ting on the primary consumer base, yeah? Pepe_Nolan Jun 21, 09:21

Writing by a white knight SHE who knows nothing about SW, the fandom, and the abysmal leadership of Kennedy. {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 21, 09:59

Argh auto correct.. SHE .. SJW. {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 21, 10:00
