They feel like they already did the long lead promotion prior to the pandemic (they dont want to spend double the P&A)
Given that most decisions are made the week of release, they'll be ok. The real question is how many people really care about a QP 2 sequel. The first one played more like a date night thriller. So far the biggest releases have all been movies that skew young and male (and ethnic tbh). QP is older, 50/50 and white. If it does well, its a good sign.
