Saw a fantastic screening of No Time to Die at the Irvine Spectrum Huge IMAX. A couple questions...
For me personally, it just doesn't feel right, to do what they did with the ending. I've been watching Bond movies my whole life. And now this, really?
I stayed through all of the credits, because I had to see for myself. Sure enough, after the final credits up comes:
James Bond will return
Really? How? Is this suddenly a MARVEL franchise or something I didn't know about? Or what are we relegated to now, Prequels?
Also: The film had ZERO eroticism. There's zero sexual heat. Nothing. There's one scene in the film, where a woman and man are watching Bond, and she says something like, "does he always have this kind of impact on women?", and at this point i think anyone who picks up this series that's young will wonder what the hell she's talking about.
I just have no idea at this point where this franchise can go. They might as well just get it over and done with, and go with a woman or a clone, or who knows what else, because it really doesn't feel much like "James Bond" anymore.
