The internets are pretty much just lit up by fanboys angry about being hyped by /let down by substantial news about Star Wars/etc.
The problem with doing these news "dumps" is that anything that doesn't have a prebuilt fanbase gets ignored. From all indications Willow+ is nowhere near ready to show anything from (they are still actively in production last I heard) so a jokey Revenge of the Ewok/Lifes Too Short update is probably all they could do outside of maybe some concept art.
It's going to be some trick getting fanboys excited about a period piece Disney+ budget Natilus, I agree. Though I'd personally love for them to come out of nowhere with a giant hit.
