It's the launch for Affleck and Damon's Artists Equity (and that Superbowl spot cost Amazon $7 million) so maybe?
Artist Equity's "thing" is they are supposed to have an advanced AI modeling program (***COUGH****COUGH*****) that determines the most profitable release strategy. So if they can make it work that will go a long way for getting new projects setup with them with the bait that hey, maybe they too can get a 3000+ wide release (most probably won't.)
Do I really think it's going to pan out? It's iffy, but an 80 For Brady level opening and they would likely be fine. The catch being is the crazy dogpile of wide releases March - April 7th is not going to leave a ton of prime screens available.
