Pretty sure Legendary wanted the date and Sony wanted to appease them for their new distribution pact. What's even worse is Kandahar is going to go for a chunk of the same middle-aged/senior audience they are. 

I'm more just interested in the exhibition industry vs an active part of it anymore. The last CinemaCon I actually attended was 2017.
