I do wonder if they agree to the large theatrical just to get the movie for Shudder b/c all indications are the movie is not great and the director's last movie got a 500+ theater release from NEON and bombed. IFC frequently agrees to a high theater count but no P&A commitment so they can just leave things on the vine to die in theaters. And then they spend $8m P&A on DANGEROUS ANIMALS so i dont get it
