It's like the debate between analog/digital in the recording world in the '90s...
It's what you put on the film that matters, having a good script, hiring good actors, getting a good DP and other heads of department. To say that film would make a movie look better is irrelevent, something we see constantly, especially when movies like Backrooms and Obsession do so well. Film makes things look better because it softens certain aspects of the picture just like analog recording tape did, so you don't have to be as meticulous about the lighting, etc... but you also have to develop it to know what you got, and that's a big problem in terms of cost and the timing of making movies... not that I need to tell YOU any of this :)))))))
