Paul Maud'Dib, Stilgar, Chani, Jessica, et al. So many roles for good actors...could be epic but that is the problem perhaps...so much book

to put on film.  You could really do the first book as two or three movies.  You have young Paul Atreides...then you have desert Paul Maud'Dib.... Book was much too rich for David Lynch's version of events and too grandiose, complex for Sci Fi's attempt.

Children Of Dune is pretty straight forward...that would make the easiest movie.
