Trust me, $100M is a perfect goal for a fund delist
I think it was RazorHawk who suggested raising the cashout price for funds to H$250. As someone who just delisted a fund, I can tell you that H$100 is just fine. Mr. Binns and some others can delist a fund in 6 months, but others of us take longer. The Original Idea Fund was my first fund, and it took me about 2 years. It took me longer than it should have because I was dealing with personal stuff at a few times, because I had to learn more than I was expecting to, and because I changed my investing strategy more than once. I would have gone nuts if I had to delist at H$250 on my first time out.
Also, fund managers tend to have large personal portfolios. I can let most of the securities in my personal port float and only check on them occasionally, but a fund requires paying much more attention to the individual securities. A fund of H$100m or less is a good size for that purpose.
