Does the moral character of actors and filmmakers impact your decision on whether to see a movie?

Me, it does in some cases. I won't willingly watch something done by Polanski or Victor Salva (only learning about his sordid past after seeing Jeepers Creepers and its sequel). Both should be in jail as far as I'm concerned. Polanski, the chicken, didn't even go to jail because he fled instead of facing the music for his crimes. Gibson is basically done in Hollywood anyway so it scarcely matters with regards to him. Cruise is a nutcase but I still saw Mission: Impossible 4. Don't like him but will see his movies if they interest me because of genre and whatnot. He didn't commit any crimes that I know of. Woody Allen is eccentric; you wouldn't have to know about his past to even guess it. Just watch some of his movies, especially the ones he himself appeared in. Knowing his past, he reminds me of Scorsese only perverted and less interesting to hear talk.
Extending it to sports, I won't cheer for any team that has either Ray Lewis or Michael Vick on it. Both are scumbags and Lewis should probably be serving a life sentence for murder right now, alongside OJ.
