Something has happened on the boards since I was gone this summer (this does not apply to poster/traders that know me...

I have noticed that the attitude on the boards has become very confrontational and a bit mean spirited. I am not talking about the barbs and jabs that all of us has left ourself open for but folks really taking the time to deconstruct opinion/question/fact just to start a thread that nobody cares to read.

I am unfamiliar with alot of the new names on the boards and I know that the life boards is fair game to really shove some posters around; I have been there! When has the movie board made a switch from open conversation about movies, movies and all thing movies to petty and snarky backlash to new topics.

I know there is a need for the up-to-date news, I read the boards everyday for that very news. Should it not also be a place for informed speculation, linked sources and show your math opinions!?

I now see why vetran traders read the quickies and move along. Sorry about that rant, it felt good to get it off my chest and I am still looking for tracking data for "For a Good Time, Call" if we can share are local knowledge of limited releases I do believe it could be a positive for the game, IMHO.
