Consumers have been complaining about the "always on-line" provisions for games on other platforms for a couple of years now.
And the "you can't resell used games" provision violates US Federal law. Which is why if you actually read thru the EULA's the companies claim you are just purchasing a use license. Of course, the fact that you can't actually read the EULA until after you've already paid is also a violation of US Federal law.
