I'm just trying to make this work. I've met people online for drinks, coffee, a sunbathe in the park. I've even traded a ticket to Tom Petty for a kitten, but they never went any further. I gave it a effort once but her over protective room mate was a little paranoid. Women have it tough, but they seem to make all they choices.
Here's my current message:
My name is William. I live in Oak Park. Computers have made many parts of our lives a lot easier. From manufacturing, paying our bills and taxes to the crushed ices setting on out appliances. But there is one area where computers have slowed us down and made our lives more difficult. Computer dating.
I know it's easy to meet people offline, but I like a challenge and thought I could give it a go here online. It's frustrating. 2-3 days of Q and A interviews followed by the mysterious cold shoulder.
I'm not a rich man. I work 3 days a week, but I have a lot of free time to do what ever I want with the time and money I have. I also live with my mom who is battling cancer. It's been a long 19 months and she is improving.
I'm just trying to make a friend. If it leads to romance that's great. If it doesn't I'm just as great. Going out and having fun is just that, fun. And though we've never met face to face, I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime.
