I know what you're saying, but I don't think that would be the best way forward, for a couple of reasons.
The first is that we in the West want to export our ideas and values - democracy, justice, fairness, equality, political and religious freedom, entrepreneurship, etc. Our influence and our ability to export these values depends on being open to and having constant contact (through business, tourism, education etc) with societies that have different values. Cutting off that contact means that Western ideas and values will be less able to spread organically in those countries.
The second is that in a multi-polar world where the West has been struggling through an economic crisis for five years, we are not as influential as it used to be. If we don't do business with the UAE, there are plenty of other emerging powers - China, India, the rest of the Middle East, Turkey, SE Asia, Africa, Latin America, Russia - that are. So unilateral sanctions from the West are not as effective as they were, say, in the 80s (eg sanctions against South Africa, lack of trade with the Soviet bloc, etc that all supported political change in those countries)
That's not to say that we should forget our own morals and values and not think too hard about how we do business in those countries. To take one example, the way Hollywood is bending over to do business in China - like filming special China-only scenes and giving the Chinese government script approval - is very worrying, and I think ultimately the wrong path.
