About those eagle-killing wind turbines... Salon: U.S. to issue eagle-killing permits to wind industry

Several months back, someone here made a crack about wind turbines killing birds. The comment was challenged... something to the effect that tubines killing birds was a myth, or, there's no evidence that turbines have killed birds.

I guess the Obama administration is unaware of this "myth," as they have given relief to the wind industry over eagle killings. The story mentions one case where 160 birds had been killed, including 14 eagles.
