When selecting titles to play at a movie theatre, do you guys have a catalogue of available titles?
Titles are booked one at a time. We either get pitched them or seek them out.
Do those titles include films from the past?
Yup. Someone owns theatrical rights or they are public domain.
Are their restrictions where certain theatres have exclusive agreements with the distributors that give them exclusive possession of a title over other theatres/chains?
Thats pretty rare and not good business. Even the films that are licensed or produced by theater chains (magnolia, drafthouse Films, IFC, Open Road), play all of their movies wider than their theaters
