But they are not fighting back - they are destroying their community. That's not going to change anything. And it's not the protestors

Posted by: JDolphin on Apr 28, 00:42 in response to professor smartbrain's post nope, but nobody should be surprised when it happens...

that are doing the damage.  It's thugs and criminals and jerks using this excuse to have fun and loot businesses for their own personal gain.

I'd be interested to see how many of the looters are actually from the area.  During the Ferguson riot many people came from outside the city to loot and destroy, then went home to their own cities and states.  And the police did nothing at first because they wanted to let the protestors have their say.  These weren't the protestors from the peaceful demonstrations.  I was hoping Baltimore learned the lesson Ferguson/St Louis didn't learn till after the fact.

There is no excuse for looting and burning business that had nothing to do with the incident. EVER.  No matter how poor, mistreated, etc you think you've been.  It just makes things worse and gets you less respect not more.

"The Purge" going down in Baltimore. National Guard activated. Antibody Apr 27, 16:38

New world govt is ready. This is practice. When our economy collapsed {nm} mike255 Apr 27, 18:19

We're coming to your house 1st. {nm} New World Police Apr 28, 05:13

This wouldn't be happening if Tommy Carcetti was still mayor. {nm} Bubba_Fett Apr 27, 19:30

miss that show {nm} lobogotti Apr 29, 14:59

So they didn't learn anything from how St Louis responded when it happened here in August and let the same thing happen again. {nm} JDolphin Apr 27, 21:00

August and November - the worst stuff was in Nov. And half of the people arrested were outside the area and most not even from Missouri. JDolphin Apr 27, 21:02

or, you know, the black residents are fed up with getting brutalized by their police forces professor smartbrain Apr 27, 22:28

So the solution is to burn business that had nothing to do with the police? (and I was referring to the city's response not the protestors) {nm} JDolphin Apr 27, 22:38

nope, but nobody should be surprised when it happens after years and years of abuse. the "war on drugs" has been a 40 year war on the poor professor smartbrain Apr 27, 22:55

But they are not fighting back - they are destroying their community. That's not going to change anything. And it's not the protestors JDolphin Apr 28, 00:42

because so many people have given two ****s about their "communities" before these demonstrations happened professor smartbrain Apr 28, 02:27

So if they come to your house and loot and burn it because they've had a hard life, you're okay with that? {nm} JDolphin Apr 28, 14:06

yes, obviously, i'm totally okay with that. you're right that the whole problem boils down to destruction of property being wrong professor smartbrain Apr 28, 15:03

So businesses (family owned or otherwise) aren't private property? If it's not yours, you have no business burning or looting it!!!!!!!! {nm} JDolphin Apr 28, 15:24

we've firmly established that destroying property is bad. maybe even as bad as police killing unarmed black men {nm} professor smartbrain Apr 28, 15:33

I agree but once again - how does looting and burning your community help the situation? {nm} JDolphin Apr 28, 17:30

So - No Boston Tea Party in 1773 then. {nm} RotoHockeyYTD2013MainPort Apr 28, 06:09

if they destroyed police dept and govt bldgs that would be a good comparison. Destroying business that have nothing to do with your protest JDolphin Apr 28, 14:11

The Isis is coming in American. If white and black get along. mike255 Apr 28, 04:52

Alex jones said. The govt allow it and so it can create police states in USA in the future. mike255 Apr 28, 04:58

Well if Alex Jones said it, it must be true. {nm} Nato Police Apr 28, 05:15
