In high school we came up with a fictional comic character called "Ratzan: Lord of the Sewers". I converted that to "Catzan: Lord of the
Alleys" when internet activity increased and I signed up for AOL. It has always been my internet name. Then one day I googled it and discovered it had indeed been a comic character at one time. I never looked for Ratzan...and Ratzan is such a better more obvious play on Tarzan. I do not own any rats and have always owned cats...Catzan is a better fit.
That is the etymology of "Catzan".
