God Bless Prince. One of the most talented, trailblazing artists I've ever seen. What a performer! What a guitarist.
Prince could play the guitar like a god, he was a Hendrix, Clapton, Page guitar hero. Pince was always known for the sexuality, the brazenness, and the soul, but believe me, his guitar mastery was unbelievable. If he'd wanted to, he could have been one of the greatest ROCK guitarists of all time (he was, it just dependes on how you classify your styles).
Prince could do it all. He was a truly gifted writer, performer, he knew how to master the presentation, the image, and most importantly....he went his own way. That's something truly special, truly magnificent. The guy did it his way. He quit the record companies. He just turned around and walked away. He saw what was going on in the business far, FAR before most others did. He knew his talent and his songbook could always make him money.
I'm a little scared by this news. First David Bowie, who is another one of the huge icons. Now Prince. This is really bad news. I'm telling you, when Dylan goes, or Jagger, McCartney, Bruce, Keith, Van, Elton. I don't know, I'm gonna feel done I think.
