RIP Lady Chablis - had a couple good encounters with her....
so besides Hawaii, our favorite place to visit is Savannah, GA. so much in fact that we're going to re-locate to the Historic District in the next few years for our permanent home. we're there quite often.
if you've ever been, it's easy to fall in love. River Street and the District are not as big as one would think. so I've ran into Chablis several times, but my most memorable was eating lunch across from her at Mrs. Wilkes. quite a firecracker.
that was this to Savannah last trip (Spring Break) and I had told her the next time we get down there we would catch her show. our next scheduled trip there is in March/April of 2017, very sorry we never got to see her perform. I had wanted to before, but it's not possible when you have a young daughter nobody can watch. however, it would have been possible this next time, as we are going with my inlaws.
like you, I will always remember that film and performance. it's what originally attracted me to the area many years ago. RIP
