Boldin had a very good career, and it was longer than most, which is why his totals are so high. But longevity doesn't make you great.

Boldin played 50 more games than Irvin, yet only amassed 1000 more yards. In fact, Irvin had 1000+ yards in 7 of 8 seasons, while it took Boldin 12 seasons to get 7 1000 yard years.

Irvin made the Pro Bowl in 5 straight years, while Boldin only got to 3 - 2003 (behind Holt and Moss), 2006 (behind Holt, Smith and Driver) and only once as a starter in 2008, next to Larry Fitz.

Irvin was an All-Pro - Boldin never was. In fact, for most of his career, he wasn't even the #1 WR on his own team.

He had a very nice career and has enjoyed remarkable health to be able to play through 200 games. But that doesn't earn him a spot in the Hall in my books.
