Banana republics use the criminal justice system to chase political opponents at the request of those currently in power. 

I don't expect the half-educated, bigoted, disaffected, downscale yahoos to undertstand this, but I expect those providing adult supervision to the current administration to vindicate America's better tradition in this context.

Did you see the look of disdain on Jeff Sessions' face when he dismissed the five-minute rant from Jim Jordan about chasing Hillary Clinton with Department of Justice prosecutors to flatter the "lock her up' chanters?  That is how adults regard backwater-inhabiting goobers like Jim Jordan on this issue.
