Thanks man. I think all NZers have been deeply affected, in different ways.
For me, visiting two of the floral tributes on Tuesday definitely helped - as did writing to my bank, thanking them for cancelling social media advertising, in light of the obscene footage which circulated after the attack.
Still light on sleep though, and keep thinking about the lovely dudes I met at the Deans Ave mosque after their Friday prayers, to discuss a community project I was briefly involved with during mid-2016.
Our Muslim community have been phenomenal under these tragic circumstances and the PM has been truly inspirational...
Linda (profiled below) was my immediate neighbour during the early 1990s at an old office block in downtown Auckland. We live there illegally (with other creative misfits - she was a fashion designer, with good taste in punk music) and shared many laughs together as we pursued our lofty ambitions. Her beautiful, impish smile on TV, came as a shock when I realised she had been taken. RIP Linda.
