Speaking of Peacock, I’m finding Bel Air very watchable yet I’m not sure it works

Superb job on re-casting an iconic family. 

 the Bankses having humorous disagreements that will be resolved happily in 22 minutes is fine, but intense season long unresolved friction among the family on this show is not a great feeling and could wear thin.
otoh, if this was a show about a new random family, the emotional connection wouldn't be there, so will just keep watching for now. It is a pretty slick piece of production  

wonder how it's doing ratings I haven't seen much press about it
