There's no way to place limit orders with money you will have, but don't right now, is there?

And when i say will have, i mean that i currently own a stock that is halted. I would like to sell it when it unfreezes (which i can do with a limit order), but would also like to short it at that time. While i don't have sufficient cash to short it right now, i will pending the sale of the same security.

Is there any way to do this? Thanks!

You can put in a limit order to short it and hope the their is enough time between the 2 orders for your cash to get in your account {nm} JDolphin Jan 08, 00:37

Thanks, but when i try to short (even at .01) i can only short the number of shares I would be able to afford at the current stock price {nm} jickerson Jan 08, 08:18
