I've never really understood why changes to stocks and bonds have to be so haphazard. Not that I don't find it quaint, but the way changes are made tend to be ...
In an uncomplicated world, from IPO to delist, all changes - whether it be attaching bonds, or changes made to release dates ... should warrant an official announcement. It's not exactly rocket science to have amendments to a stock page programmed to generate a corresponding post.
This way, when a stock delists due to zero box office, people like myself don't have to go scrambling around to find out which starbonds were summarily removed at the same time. It should be systemic that corresponding announcements are made.
Surely amending a stock or bond page (for any reason) carries significance. So why the randomness - why the deficit in consistency? I'd be interested to know what your views are.
