We already have ad hoc notices posted on the Movies or Stars boards. These are sometimes done by HSX and sometimes by players. They are sanctioned not only in principle but in practice.
If I understand you correctly, what you're saying is that it's fine to post this kind of information because it's of interest to players for the purpose of playing the game, but too much information would be detrimental because:
(a) The data would be so substantial it might overwhelm the sensibilities of the players. rather like in a Jane Austen novel.
(b) Cause a potential negative outcome in terms of revenue.
So, rather than clutter up the existing Movies and Stars boards, why not use the Announcements board which seems already designed for that purpose. After all, if it's fine to mention that MMCCO has landed a role in NTSTL, then surely it's equally fine (on grounds of consistency) to log all the other attachments as and when they occur. (Why should MMCCO receive preferential treatment?)
If the Announcements board (an average of one post per day in March) is deemed to be inappropriate, then why not create another board that CAN log the information. This way HSX would still get revenue from the existing boards and potentially a fabulous new stream from the freshly-created one. By your own argument it's a win-win in terms of revenue and in terms of choice.
The traditionalists can behave as if the new board didn't exist and the 'hedonistic informationalists' can frenzy-feed on the newly-available datastream.
