Love peanuts. Buy them bi-weekly for my squirrels. You should see their mushroom collection.
They chewed a hole just under the roof of the tool shed where they have a home and raise their young. Their home is 12' x 2' x 18" completely closed in except for two entrance / exit holes. They store their mushrooms on a shelf below in previously empty nail boxes. There is probably some 500 - 700 dried mushrooms there at any given time peaking in the fall. They get Oily Sunflower seeds 24/7/365. They also have their own heated water dish in the winter which they share with the birds. Peanuts are good. Probably spend over $300.00 a year on peanuts, over $1,000.00 on Sunflower seeds.
