Just like when you fill out your name or address on websites and your browser tries to suggest things you entered in the same fields previously.
The browser doesn't know that the symbols are no longer trading.
The site can "suggest" to the browser not to offer suggestions, but cannot control what suggestions are offered.

When trading under the portfolio tab, prior used moviestock codes show up on a dropdown box but are not able to access them. {nm} mwbigyank Nov 22, 21:40

Do you mean under the My Portfolio (menu) > (trade box in that menu) ... when you click in the 'symbol' filed you get a list or symbols? {nm} jeffbacon Nov 23, 06:20
