That used to be the case but now lower-priced stocks and bonds move roughly the same amount as higher-priced ones.
There's no other explanation why a $5 stock can be up 60-70% in a couple hours with no news/box office or other info to cause it.
What was it in %? It wouldn't be usual for a high priced security to move 20 cent at one max trade, and 40 cent for two. {nm} Dec 31, 10:22
