I really think HSX should fix/address some of the issues/problems with the new volatility before upping the shares to 100k
The first one being the problem with volatility at reset with low-priced stocks that allow them to move huge percentages. The second being the erratic behavior of IPOs that HSX are pushing for people to buy the day they're IPOed, they go up a few cents and then crash at reset, driven not by how many shares are held long vs. short but by a handful of reset traders and lastly, no one likes the decision to move halt until Saturday at 9pm. It is the single stupidest decision in the history of HSX (and that includes the orange Beta)... there is no challenge in openers anymore, there's no point in even holding them between halt and adjust anymore, and the later halt isn't increasing trading on the openers as planned. They basically go up/down until they meet their halt price then stay there. If you really want more trading on Saturdays then bring back commission-free... but turn down the volatility before doing that, because reset traders are already having a field day from the changes.
