1) the eventual final value of a MovieStock is the total actual gross as reported by ERC at the end of the 4th weekend of release for a wide release (650 theaters) or 12th weekend for a limited (<650) release. From the day of IPO until then, the movement is all speculation. This is based upon news, rumors, hype, etc. In some cases, the project is never released, box office is not reported, or the project may not even be produced. In that case the final value is zero.]
3) Non movie securities? TV Stocks are based upon episodes shown. Derivatives have their rules on their detail pages. StarBonds have a formula for adjust. In all cases the "current value" is based upon speculation but evenutally the price will be at the final (or adjusted) amount, but until then it is subject to buy and sell.
4) The prices are constantly changing (usually updated every 5 minutes) based upon buy/cover sell/short orders. There is a patented method of determining the motion of the prices which is stored in the same vault as the 12 secret KFC spices and the formula for Coke.
