Description

Based on the longest-running show in the history of American theater, The Fantasticks follows two farmers who attempt to romantically link their children. Joel Grey (Dancer in the Dark) and Brad Sullivan star as the farmers, and Jean Louisa Kelly and Joseph McIntyre as their children. Bernard Hughes, Jonathan Morris, and Teller (of Penn & Teller fame) also star in the musical. Michael Ritchie (Fletch, The Bad News Bears) directed the film written by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt. A September 2000 release is set for the movie.
