Writer-director Steve Oedekerk stars in Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, a spoof of the martial arts action genre. Following in the tradition of Woody Allen's 1966 spoof of Japanese spy movies What's Up, Tiger Lily?, Oedekerk will use footage from actual foreign martial arts films and intersplice it with sequences featuring himself as a martial arts hero. Oedekerk's comedic credits include co-producing and writing for Patch Adams, co-writing for The Nutty Professor, and screenwriting and directing Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.
