In Wonder Boys, Michael Douglas delivers a performance completely opposite of his Oscar-winning role as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street. Douglas injects aloofness and sweetness into his portrayal of an aimless college professor. The Los Angeles Film Critics Association hailed Douglas as Best Actor. Douglas is also in contention to be nominated for his supporting role in Traffic.
Wonder Boys stars Michael Douglas as a professor going through a midlife crisis while trying to finish the follow-up to his successful first novel. He takes up smoking pot in search of meaning and beauty in his life. Frances McDormand plays his pregnant mistress, while Robert Downey, Jr., is his book editor. Originally released last February, Wonder Boys faded from the box office. Paramount re-released the Curtis Hanson directed pic over the holidays with a new marketing campaign emphasizing the ensemble cast in hopes of securing Oscar nominations.

Each option of a nominated film or star will cash out at H$6.50, while those NominOptions failing to secure a nomination will delist at H$0.00.
