Description

Directed by David LaChapelle, the documentary Rize highlights a revolutionary dance form called krumping. Originating out of the streets of South Central Los Angeles, the dance combines African tribal and athletic moves with clowning. Premiering at the 2005 Sundance, the documentary grew out of LaChapelle’s short film Krumped from the 2004 Sundance.
