Lionsgate has revealed the theatrical trailer for the action adventure The Hunger Games [HGAME], which premiered this morning on ABC's 'Good Morning America', on Apple. Adapted from the best-selling Suzanne Collins novel, the story is set in a dystopian future where the Capitol of Panem forces its twelve districts to each send a teenage boy and girl as tributes to fight each other to the death in a televised event. Jennifer Lawrence [JLAWR] and Josh Hutcherson [JHUTC] play the competitors from District 12, while Elizabeth Banks [EBANK] in the garish make-p as their handler in the Capitol. The trailer is packed full of moments that has fans of the book excited, though for others, the trailer only reinforces the perception of the film as The Running Man meets Battle Royale.
