War Room [WARRM] scored a surprising second place with a $11.0 million debut. The faith-based drama connected with its target audience that was 85% over the age of 25, and 60% female.
No Escape [TCOUP] finished fourth with $8.3 million and $10.3 million since opening on Wednesday. The thriller appealed to an older crowd with 80%s over the age of 25.
Sinister 2 [SINI2] dropped 56% in its second weekend to $4.7 million. The horror sequel stands at $18.5 million.
We Are Your Friends [WAYFR] bombed completely, debuting outside the top 12 with just $1.8 milion.
The Diary of a Teenage Girl [TDOTG] managed just $0.4 million in its expansion to 795 theaters.
