Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw [FAFHS] slipped to second place at $14.0 million, revving its total to $133.7 million.
The Lion King [LIONK.BW] stayed at the third spot with $11.9 million and $496.1 million overall.
The Angry Birds Movie 2 [ANGR2] debuted fourth with $10.5 million, and $16.2 million since opening on Tuesday. The animated sequel drew 51% female and 53% ged 25 or older.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark [SSTID] fell 52% to $10.1 million in its second weekend. The horror film stands at $40.2 million.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged [48MDW] grossed $9.0 million to open at the sixth spot.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold [DORAE] finished seventh with $8.4 million, down 51% from its debut weekend. The family film has tallied $33.9 million.
Blinded by the Light [BLBTL] bowed in ninth with $4.5 million. The drama attracted an audience that was 51% female with 86% aged 25 or older.
Where'd You Go, Bernadette [WDYGB] managed just $3.5 million to debut at eleventh. The crowd skewed 66% female and 84% aged 25 or older.
