First trailer for The Woman King

Sony has unveiled the official trailer for action adventure The Woman King [WMKNG] based on historical events. Viola Davis [VDAVI] stars as General Nanisca who led the Agojie, the all-female unit of warriors who protected the African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1800s.  John Boyega [JBOYE] and Lashana Lynch [LLYNC] co-star.  Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood,  The Woman King opens in theaters on September 16th.
