First trailer for The Color Purple

Warner Bros. has unveiled the official trailer for the musical The Color Purple [TCPRP] based on the novel by Alice Walker.   Taraji P. Henson [TPHEN], Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo [CDOMI], Corey Hawkins [CHAWK], H.E.R., Halle Bailey [HBAIL], Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Fantasia Barrino lead the cast.  Blitz Bazawule directed the featured adaptation of the musical stage play book by Marsha Norman, music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis and Stephen Bray.  The Color Purple will arrive in theaters on December 25th.
