Barking up an estimated $36.0 million, DreamWorks Animation’s Dog Man [DOGM1] easily secured the top spot at the weekend box office. Based on the popular graphic novels, the animated film attracted an audience that was 51% female and 77% under the age of 35.
Companion [CMPAN] opened in second place with $9.5 million. The horror film received a B+ CinemaScore. Men over 25 made up the biggest quadrant at 37% followed by women over 25 at 32%
One of Them Days [1OTDS] brought home another $6.0 million, bringing its tally to $34.45 million after 3 weekends.
Last weekend’s winner, Flight Risk [FLTRS] went down 52% to $5.6 million in its second weekend. The thriller has logged $20.91 million.
The Brutalist [BRUTL] slipped 30% in its second weekend of wide release to $1.87 million. The Oscar favorite has banked $12.12 million.
Den of Thieves: Pantera [DENO2] earned $1.60 million to push its gain to $34.48 million after 4 weekends.
Wolf Man [TWLFM] grossed $1.15 million in its third weekend for a running total at $19.94 million.
Presence [PRSNC] declined 60% from its debut to $1.34 million. The ghost story has grossed $5.88 million in 10 days.
Brave the Dark [BRVTD] earned $769K during its sophomore session. The drama dropped 66% from its debut to bring its total to $3.90 million.
Opening in 1275 theaters, Valiant One [VLNT1] grossed just $725K.
